Stop Selling Crochet!
Today, I’m going to tell you why you should stop selling crochet!
I know it sounds ridiculous especially since that’s what we do. However, it shouldn’t be what we do. We should be selling pieces that our target audience wants and needs instead of selling crochet.
A few months ago I asked the question on my Facebook page “What do you look for when buying a sweater”? Of all the answers I received NO ONE said they looked for a crochet, knit or tatted sweater. Now, you may think that’s because most of my audience crochets so they wouldn’t look for something they can make themselves. However, do you think people who don’t crochet look for items that are specifically crochet? I don’t. I think as crocheters we would be more drawn to a great crochet or knit piece because we know the value of what went into making it. But an average customer would simply want something that was going to fulfill a need or a desire.
