I woke up one day a few weeks ago and decided I wanted to design a quick cowl.
That’s how this pattern came to be.
I was working on several stitch tutorials and wanted to use some in a pattern, so here we are! The Simple Quick Chunky Cowl pattern is easy, fun, warm and cozy! Very cozy!

- K / 6.55mm Crochet Hook
- 2 Balls Bernat Softee Chunky Yarn
(click names for tutorials)
- SC = Single Crochet
- SL ST = Slip Stitch
- CH = Chain
- TR = Triple Crochet
- Double Crochet Bobble – (use tr for this pattern)
[wp_ad_camp_5]NOTE – This chunky cowl pattern is worked in a continuous round with no chaining at the end of rows.
Join chain, no twisting, with sc, place marker
Rnd 1: sc in each st around, move up marker
Rnd 2: Tr in 1st sc and in each st around, move up marker
Rnd 3: 5trcl in 1st st, ch 3, *sk 2, 5trcl in next st, rep from * around to beg
Rnd 4: *5trcl in ch-3 sp, ch 3, rep from * around rep row 4-2 times ending *2 tr in next ch-3 sp. TR in top of cluster rep from * around
Keep going until you get the size you want then do one row of TR
Next Rnd – SC in top of 1st tr and in ea st around, sl st in 1st sc, bind off
Weave in ends.
