After running to HD and Lowes with no luck, HD had a Husky Brand nipple remover which did not work for my application. Used the largest bit in this kit and was able to pull a broken shower arm thread out of the pipe! You do have to hit it with a mallet a few times to make sure the bit grabs,

This tool worked perfectly to remove a broken piece of shower arm from within the fitting into which it was threaded. The user should be careful to keep the toothed part of the tool within the edges of the broken piece to avoid damage to the internal threads of the fitting from which the piece is being removed. Also, the tool needs to be held parallel to the axis of the broken piece...not too difficult. This tool was well worth the purchase price. It saved the cost of a plumber's visit and possibly the replacement of the fitting in which the arm had broken.

I have no way of evaluating the longevity of the too in heavy use; but, for an amateur plumber/homeowner it is fine.

I used these to remove a water fitting on a Cummins engine, it just had a barbed fitting on the exterior of the engine and the rest was threads inside the block. This was a tight fit and I had to hammer it in but it removed the stuck fitting that looked to have some sort of pipe dope on it and had been in there for almost 20 years.

I don't know about bolts because I have only used it for a stuck shotgun choke. But it worked great for that and paid for itself in one use compared to a gunsmith. If your a waterfowl Hunter either you or a buddy will need to have this at some point in the future. When the choke is rusted in and the little choke tool ain't doing anything. This works.

I just received my set for removing a deteriorated galvanized nipple for my hose bib behind my brick wall that was leaking slowly. I tapped it in snugly with a small hammer and tried turning...nothing. I slowly tried working it in both directions and after about a minute, it started to let loose behind the wall. I had used an inspection camera in the mortar between the bricks to be sure the main connection was not moving. It completely came out and I replaced the old 6" galvanized nipple with a new 8" galvanized nipple. You do need to use a slightly longer one if your hose bib is flush to the wall. If not, you will not be able to tighten the nipple back into the fitting without marring the threaded portion.
