When I learned this stitch I had to make something. I mean, look how cool it looks!
The fun thing that evolved was this beautiful popping circles crochet cowl! This cowl is like a warm and fuzzy hug from your bestie.
Sizing is really up to you, but any length, width or color you chose is bound to be perfect!

Row 1 (RS): dc in 4th ch from hook and each ch across, turn
Row 2: ch 3 (counts as dc throughout), dc in each st across, dc in top of t-ch, turn
Row 3: ch 3, dc in next 3 dc, *circle around post of next and prev dc, dc in top of same dc (behind circle), dc in next 7 dc (8 dc), rep from * across to last 4 dc, circle around post of next and prev dc, dc in top of same dc (behind circle), dc in next 3 dc (including top of t-ch), turn
Rows 4 – 6: ch 3, dc in ea dc across, turn
Row 7: ch 3, dc in next 7 dc, *circle around post of next and prev dc, dc in top of same dc (behind circle), dc in next 7 dc; rep from * across, turn
Rows 8 – 10: ch 3, dc in ea dc across, turn
Rep rows 3 – 10 10 times
Rep rows 3 – 7 one time then repeat rows 8 & 9 DO NOT BIND OFF
Ch 1, bring both ends together with WS facing and sc across the stitches to close the cowl; At the end of the seam, ch 1 turn piece RS facing and sc eavenly along the edge of the piece; End with sc in top of 1st st; ch 2, hdc in each st around edge ending with sl st in top of beg ch; ch2, hdc in fl only of same st as sl st, hdc in bl only of next st, *hdc in fl only of next st, hdc in bl only of following st; rep from * around ending with sl st in top of turning ch; ch 1, rsc back around edge, bind off.
Join yarn to opposite edge with sl st, ch1, sc around. Follow above instructions.
