How to Add a Review Box to Your Facebook Page
(re-work of a lost post due to technical difficulties. . . don’t you just love tech?!)
Just yesterday I was going through my feed and I noticed that someone had mentioned Yarn Obsession. I’m always going through my activity feed because I love to interact with my friends and because I like to make sure no one is wrongfully taking advantage of our community.
When I looked, it was a very sweet review from someone telling me publicly what they though of the Yarn Obsession Community. I was so touched, but it also got me thinking about how valuable and useful it is to have a review box on my page.
If you have a Facebook Business page and don’t yet have a review box, here are the steps to get one. I think you’ll be happy you did!
Step 1 – Go to Your Facebook Page
At the top of your Facebook page, in your tabs you’ll find the “About” tab, click on that to be taken to the next step. (see above image)
Step 2 – Page Info
Once you get to the next page, click on “Page Info” and do the following
1 – Update your category to one where you are able to have a physical address. Using a category like “public figure”or “designer” may not get you the added box, so select something that could easily be associated with a brick-and-mortar shop
2 – Go down and input an address in the address section. This is the key! Without an address you won’t get the “check-ins” “Reviews” or “map” on your profile.
Step 3 – Save All Information
Once you’re done putting in your new (or updated) category and your address, you’ll need to go back to the address section and click on “enable” for check-ins, reviews and map. Once you do that, refresh and you should see a “Reviews” tab at the top of your page. If you don’t see it, click on the “more” tab and see if it’s listed there.
You are now ready to hear all the wonderful things your audience feels about you!
